Fairfield Prep senior, Bjorn “Connor” Davis has accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. At Prep, Connor is highly regarded for his citizenship, scholarship and enthusiastic support for the entire school community. Best known as a standout performer on the Varsity Swimming and Diving team, Connor has established himself as one of the top swimmers in school history. He has been an All-SCC and All-State performer in multiple events for the past two seasons. In 2012 he was the top scorer on Prep’s State Open Championship team. In his junior season, Connor achieved All-American status in the 50 Freestyle, and as a member of the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relays. At the 2013 State Open Connor won the 100 freestyle and led off the 200 Freestyle Relay that would tie for first and set a school, SCC, State Open and CIAC record. Connor is well known for having his best performances on relays; events that place team success over individual honors. His leadership was recognized with his election as Co-Captain in senior year. Connor has also embraced Fairfield Prep’s Jesuit mission through his participation in the Sophomore and Kairos Retreats. Also, during the past two years he has volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club and the Spooner House in his hometown of Shelton, Connecticut. Connor is excited to attend the United States Naval Academy where he will continue his education and swimming career, and train to be an Naval officer at one the nation’s preeminent Military Academies and Universities.
