Bowtell breaks 1994 diving record at Prep

Jake Bowtell in record-setting action recently.
Darien resident, and two-time All American diver Jake Bowtell, 17, broke the Fairfield Prep six-dive record set back in 1994 by Tom Thomas (Class of 1994).
Thomas’s score of 299.84 has stood unchallenged in the Prep record books until Tuesday night when, diving against Hamden, Bowtell decided it was time to take it on.
With six dives he scored 307.55 points to set the new record and score a personal best.
Bowtell now has his eyes set on the 11-dive record also set by Thomas in 1994.
